completed projects

Despite being a young non-governmental humanitarian organisation, we have already established ourself within our target community and have launced a wide range of sustainable small-scale projects. With the majority of resources injected from the organisation's members, we are currently undertaking the following projects:

Scholarships for student-athletes:

Thanks to our understanding and experience with the american college sports affiliations, we are providing talented and hard-working stundent-athletes the chance to showcase their skills to american colleges. Our strong relationship with american college soccer coaches gives our students the possibility to get a degree while competing in the NAIA or NCAA division 1 and 2. A successful student-athlete will have the chance to obtain a professional contract upon the completion of their degree through the drafting system or by a simple transfer to a professional club.

INSTITUTE OF LANGUAGES 1.jpg

Institution of languages:

With resources from our members personal income, we launched the construction of our institution of languages. The institution of language consist of bringing in a new dimension of education to the togolese and West-African community, making it possible for individuals to improve their skills in three major languages, respectively French, English and Arabic. With this said, students will have the chance to broader their options in terms of higher education and professionals might benefit from adding an additional language to their repertoire. Due to the lack of financial support only 1 out of 3 buildings have been completed. Our goal is to renovate the already existing building and also build 2 more buildings within the end of 2017.

VOLUNTEERING IN THE COMMUNITY:

We have plenty of volunteers around various cities in Togo as well as in foreign countries working on improving habitants everyday life. In the north of Togo, particularly in Tchamba, there is a lack of  quality teachers in the city's schools. We are fortunate enough to have generous and and highly educated individuals in our association volunteering as teachers, medical staff, drivers and even speakers.

In short we are fortunate enough to have many inspiring, caring and intelligent individuals contributing as volunteers for the organisation.

SENSITIZATION OF THE POPULATION:

We are always trying to find ways to bring sustainable development to the community and have realized that having occasional talks at big events, in schools and even at the market place could catch the attention of people and make them question their decision-making. Unfortunately a lot of children in African countries are being sent out of the country very young to work in order to provide their families. Young girls are exposed to rape and violence and young boys are often assigned dangerous and life-threatening tasks.

CONSTRUCTION OF SCHOOL FACILITIES

The organisation has over the last months worked hard with the local authorities of Tchamba to increase the number of school facilities in the city. Members of AZAE are actively raising funds and starting on the construction of buildings that will be used as classrooms in districts where the lack of facilities is an important problem.

CONSTRUCTION OF WATER WELLS

Together with the local authorities the organisation has generated a minimal amount designated to the construction of water wells all around the city of Tchamba. Members of AZAE have been able to raise a slight amount of funds which are paying for the construction of wells. The works is being executed by locals who have to carry out the work under challenging circumstances.

CONSTRUCTION OF WATER WELLs in collaboration with partners

Water wells have been introduced across Tchamba in collaboration with our Turkish partners. The initiative is continuously running with the aim of providing water to the local community.

pROVISION OF FOOD in collaboration with partners

In the period of Ramadan and Eid, our Turkish partners have supported AZAE with cows and shared it with the local community of Tchamba.
